About
I am, Ieesha Abdur-Rahman, a self-taught visual artist and designer. However, I go by Ieesha Naeema on social media platforms. Creativity has been a part of my life ever since I was a child. I officially started my freelance visual artist career in 2015, where I created pop art acrylic based paintings that celebrated the vibrancy and positive influence of African American culture. Fast forward to 2021, I now create vivid digital artwork that explores the same concept, which allows me to mass produce my artwork on apparel and home living products.
My main passion in life is to create visually appealing artwork and graphic designs that uplift and inspire my community. My work is heavily influenced by my favorite musicians, as I usually conceptualize my pieces based on their lyrics. As a black female creative, I believe it is my duty to show others that you can create timeless art and still stay true to who you are. I hope that my art creates a positive experience for you as the viewer.
